We offer an English language course that covers all levels, from absolute beginner to pre-tertiary. It consists of 15 levels and is included for free alongside any schooling subscription. If you are in the following grades, you shall receive access to these course levels as long as you continue paying your schooling subscription:
Grade 5 or 6 or 7 or 8 - levels 1, 2, 3 and 4
Grade 9 - levels 5, 6, 7 and 8
(There is no grade 10 as that year is merged into grades 9 and GEDL1, making high school a total of four and not five years)
GED L1 - levels 9, 10 11 and 12
GED L2 - levels 13, 14 and 15
For those that are not existing Pocket Classrooms students, they can take the English course by paying a monthly subscription of R45. This would give you access to one level per month.
Admission requirements: Anyone can sign up. To determine the correct level you should be taking, register as a student by clicking the "Sign Up" icon on the home page or click here (https://pocketclassrooms.net/Home/student_registration/ZA). You can then register for a self evaluation test that will help you determine the correct level you should be taking. This evaluation test is free. If you aren't sure which level to choose, you can take the test over to help you determine this with more accuracy.
Students can also take the English course alongside their schooling, meaning they can do both at the same time.
